چکیده

In this work, a greener approach for the extraction of Greek propolis using ultrasound-assisted method in combination with Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES) is presented. Propolis natural material outmost interest as it possesses various biological and pharmacological activities therefore used manufacturing extracts useful to fields, such pharmaceutics, cosmetics etc. Herein, five NADES were task-specifically selected appropriate solvents since they provide important assets final NADES-extracts, comparing conventionally organic solvents. The screening study prepared indicated L-proline/D,L-Lactic acid most effective medium raw due extract’s high total phenolic content well its’ significantly higher antioxidant activity. Then, NADES, was optimized by performing Experimental Design effect time, propolis-to-solvent ratio %NADES NADES-water system. All characterized regarding their activity content. optimum NADES-extract an extract derived conventional hydroethanolic solution further LC/MS/MS analysis. results showed that NADES-extracts composition similar or superior presence valuable phytochemicals apigenin, naringenin A disadvantage usually mentioned literature extractions extracted bioactive compounds cannot be easily separated from order obtain dry extracts. However, drawback can converted asset designed are add value end product as-obtained has been successfully incorporated cosmetic cream formulation. organoleptic characteristics formulation also determined.

Food-Grade Synthesis of Maillard-Type Taste Enhancers Using Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES).

The increasing demand for healthier food products, with reduced levels of table salt, sugar, and mono sodium glutamate, reinforce the need for novel taste enhancers prepared by means of food-grade kitchen-type chemistry. Although several taste modulating compounds have been discovered in processed foods, their Maillard-type ex food production is usually not exploited by industrial process react...

Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES) to Enhance Berberine Absorption: An In Vivo Pharmacokinetic Study.

In the present study results related to the in vivo administration of Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES)-solubilized berberine are reported for the first time. NADES are mixtures of small natural compounds having a melting point significantly lower than that of any individual component. Such solvents have gained much attention of the scientific community in the green chemistry area, being c...

Natural deep eutectic solvents as a new extraction media for phenolic metabolites in Carthamus tinctorius L.

Developing green solvents with low toxicity and cost is an important issue for the biochemical industry. Synthetic ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents have received considerable attention due to their negligible volatility at room temperature, high solubilization ability, and tunable selectivity. However, the potential toxicity of the synthetic ionic liquids and the solid state at room tem...

Natural deep eutectic solvents providing enhanced stability of natural colorants from safflower (Carthamus tinctorius).

A certain combination of natural products in the solid state becomes liquid, so called natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES). Recently, they have been considered promising new green solvents for foods, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals due to their unique solvent power which can dissolve many non-water-soluble compounds and their low toxicity. However, in addition to the features as solvents, the ...
